AI Contract Overview

The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego plans to issue a sole source contract modification to the Corporation for Educational Network Initiatives in California (CENIC) to upgrade their network bandwidth speed from 10G to 100G. This is a non-competitive action justified under FAR Part 6.302, as CENIC is identified as the only provider in the United States capable of delivering the required network subscription. The contract modification falls under NAICS code 518210, with an applicable business size standard of $30 million. The government will negotiate exclusively with CENIC unless other interested parties submit information demonstrating their capability to fulfill this requirement. Interested parties were invited to submit relevant company details by a specified deadline to determine if competition was feasible, but no solicitation documents were available nor requested. The contract signifies an important network infrastructure upgrade aimed at enhancing bandwidth capabilities for fleet logistics operations. Michael Oliva, Contract Specialist at NAVSUP FLCSD, serves as the point of contact for this procurement matter. If no competing offers or information are received, the government intends to proceed directly with the sole source modification.
