Changes to Golden Gate Transit Bus Routes and Paratransit Service as Identified in the Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Service (MASCOTS) Plan

The Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District is implementing the Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Services (MASCOTS) Plan to modify regional and sub-regional transit services along the U.S. Highway 101 Corridor in Marin and Sonoma Counties. The scope of work involves routing and schedule changes for Routes 101, 130, 132, 172, 580, and 580X, as well as the discontinuation of Routes 150, 164, and 172X. These modifications to bus and paratransit services are expected to take effect in April 2026. The project is designated as exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it utilizes existing highways and the same buses already in use, with no significant changes expected in bus service hours or total miles traveled. Performance of these services will occur across Marin, San Francisco, and Sonoma counties. Amorette M. Ko-Wong, Secretary of the District, serves as the primary point of contact for the agency.
