The system must feature a small form factor weighing less than 12.2 pounds, a conduction-cooled unit with a modular RF Front End, and a minimum Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 7500 hours. The system must adhere to NSTISSAM TEMPEST 1-92 and CNSSAM standards and utilize standards-based modularity such as OpenVPX and VNX+. Prospective contractors must demonstrate expertise in agile development, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and proactive obsolescence management. The anticipated timeline includes an Industry Day in the first quarter of FY27, a final RFP release in the fourth quarter of FY27, a contract award in the second quarter of FY28, and target fleet delivery by mid-2034.
