Coastal Critical Infrastructure Defensible Space Project

The purpose of the proposed project is to establish and maintain a defensible space zone between critical infrastructure and open space areas as well as around a trail to serve as a fuel reduction zone adjacent to residences in Marin County’s Coastal Zone. The proposed defensible space treatments around critical infrastructure would increase defensibility and reduce risk of damage to critical infrastructure in the event of a wildfire. The proposed project would also improve safety for firefighting and emergency personnel while engaged in fire suppression during a wildfire in these areas around structures
