COMBAT APPAREL

Coast Guard (CG) Maritime Security Response Team (MSRT) Chesapeake has a requirement for Combat Apparel as the authorized operational and Advanced Interdiction Uniforms (AIU). Unit personnel require various sizes and types of tops and bottoms to meet individual personnel body compositions and to meet prescribed operational deployments as determined by the MSRT Commanding Officer based on the Mission. The Combat Apparel, multi-cam must be specifically designed for tactical operations involving the wear of ballistic body armor, and must features wicking material on the torso (under the plate carrier). The Advanced Combat Uniform must meet the CG MSRTs operational uniform requirements with the following required features: - Two piece design (shirt and pants) - Designed specifically for the demands of harsh tactical operational environments - Shirt must be form fitting to the torso for comfort under ballistic body armor and vests - Both shirt and pants must be extremely lightweight while still providing integrated protection - Multi camouflage pattern fabric for use in multiple global environments - Woven fabric for added weather protection - Collar that allows easy donning and doffing (important for contaminated environments) - Pants and shirt sleeves are heavily reinforced - Hi-mobility stretch panels at the knee and lower back - Sufficient pockets for immediate tactical need gear - Designed for use with removable, lightweight, and flexible knee and elbow pads In order to meet CG MSRT unique mission and operational uniform requirements, in both a timely and cost effective manner and to attain an organization-wide operational uniform for advanced interdiction operations unique to the CG MSRT, the unit must acquire the Advanced Combat Uniform The Apparel must provides the following unique characteristics: G3 Combat PantsTM - Aggressively cut for maximum mobility - Combat-proven pants sized in 2-inch waist increments and multiple lengths for a custom fit. - Unique padded waistband and hi-mobility stretch panels at the knee and lower back - Ten (10) pockets - Base fabric is Mil-Spec 50/50 NYCO ripstop with durable a 4-way stretch-woven accents - Zip fly with Velcro closure - Unique low-profile adjustable waist system - Each cargo pocket conceals water bottle/magazine stabilizer - Dedicated knife/light holder that still allows pocket access - Simple kneepad height adjuster located in front thigh pocket - Designed for use with removable AirFlexTM Combat Knee Pads - Built-in flap covers kneecap opening when not using knee pads - Stretch diamond gusseted crotch - Rear-zip pockets - Larger expansion panel at lower back - Larger front thigh pockets - Double layer seat - Patented, other patents pending.
