Commercial Kitchen Hood Vent and Duct Cleaning

Minnesota State is soliciting proposals for commercial kitchen hood vent and duct cleaning services at the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus. The contract is intended for a primary term of three years with an option to renew for an additional two years, totaling a maximum of five years. Qualified vendors must possess at least five years of experience in the field and demonstrate the ability to respond to emergency service requests in a reasonable timeframe. The scope of work includes providing a service plan and work schedule, safety and chemical information, and detailed cleaning logs and photo documentation for various campus facilities, including the University Dining Center, CSU, Julia Sears Grill, and Carkoski Commons Chet's. Proposals are due by October 9, 2026, via the Minnesota State e-procurement system. Evaluation is based on a weighted scale: the work plan and cost/value each account for 35%, vendor and personnel qualifications account for 15%, and adherence to terms accounts for 5%. To avoid disqualification, respondents must provide a notarized Affidavit of Non-Collusion, an Affirmative Action declaration, and a full disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest. The final selection will be made by a committee comprising representatives from Residential Life, Environmental Health and Safety, CSU Operations, and Building Maintenance, with a goal of executing the contract by October 23, 2026.
