Provisioned Item Orders and Engineering Services and Associated Support Ceiling for the DDG 1000 Class Integrated Power System (IPS) Low Voltage Power System

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to increase the ceiling on contract number N00024-09-C-4206 for the DDG 1000 Class Low Voltage Integrated Fight-Through Power system development and production with DRS Systems, Inc., 5 Sylvan Way, Ste. 305, Parsippany, NJ 07054-3818, by increasing the engineering services and support for engineering services for an estimated amount of $16,300,000 and by increasing the Provisioned Item Order contract line item with authority to procure provisioned items for the DDG 1000 Class Integrated Power System (IPS) components up to $16,000,000.00 above the previous level. The ceiling increase will allow the contractor to continue support of the installations and commissioning of the IPS components aboard the DDG 1000 Class ships and ensure adequate spare and repair parts are available prior to the Navy stock system having sufficient population of spares and onboard replacement items. The period of performance will be through 30 September 2022. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Reference is made to solicitation N0002417R4209 for the required Request for Information as defined in FAR 15.201(e) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Procedures, Guidance, and Information (PGI) 206.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any submissions will not be reimbursed by the Government -- the entire cost of any submission will be at the sole expense of the source submitting the information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
