Inquiries Inquiry 87586 | Is GenAI assisted drafting functionality currently permitted for use within the internal audit function, provided all audit judgment and final conclusions remain human driven? Or, is this a long term goal? Is availability of GenAI functionality within a FedRAMP authorized environment a mandatory requirement for this procurement, or is phased availability acceptable? Would the absence of GenAI capabilities in a FedRAMP authorized environment in the near term be considered a material disqualifier? Is the primary intent of the selected platform to support internal audit execution and documentation, rather than serve as a broader enterprise GRC or analytics solution? Is standardization of audit workflows across engagements prioritized over extensive engagement level customization? Is integration with existing analytics and reporting tools preferred over replacing those tools within the audit platform? Is use of an established public sector procurement vehicle, such as Carahsoft (e.g., NASPO), acceptable for contracting? If so, would you be open to a one week extention to allow time to partner on a response? | Answer: Is GenAI assisted drafting functionality currently permitted for use within the internal audit function, provided all audit judgment and final conclusions remain human driven? Or, is this a long term goal? All GenAI requirements listed in section 2.3 can be considered optional. If a vendor cannot currently meet the State’s requirements for GenAI security, this is not a disqualifier and Client would be open to incorporating those capabilities in the future. Is availability of GenAI functionality within a FedRAMP authorized environment a mandatory requirement for this procurement, or is phased availability acceptable? Phased availability is acceptable for this functionality. Client is willing to defer use of GenAI capabilities until the selected vendor can implement them in the required environment. Would the absence of GenAI capabilities in a FedRAMP authorized environment in the near term be considered a material disqualifier? This is not a material disqualifier. Client is willing to defer use of GenAI capabilities until the selected vendor can implement them in the required environment. Is the primary intent of the selected platform to support internal audit execution and documentation, rather than serve as a broader enterprise GRC or analytics solution? To clarify: Client performs external audit functions, not internal audit. If the question is whether the solution would be widely used across the Agency, the answer is No. Use would be limited to supporting the auditing activity of one department within the Agency. Is standardization of audit workflows across engagements prioritized over extensive engagement level customization? Standardization is the priority, although some amount of customization will be necessary. For example, one auditee is under a different contract than the other entities being audited by the Client. Is integration with existing analytics and reporting tools preferred over replacing those tools within the audit platform? If “existing analytics and reporting tools” refers to systems used to prepare and analyze sample datasets for audit programs, then Yes, integration is preferred If the solution includes native risk analysis tools, Client may be interested in leveraging those. Is use of an established public sector procurement vehicle, such as Carahsoft (e.g., NASPO), acceptable for contracting? If so, would you be open to a one week extention to allow time to partner on a response? Client has no problem working with Carahsoft or similar contracting vehicles but is unable to extend the deadline to accommodate that. | Answered: 4/17/2026
