AI Contract Overview
The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division, China Lake, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Compunetix Inc. for the repair of their proprietary equipment, citing FAR 6.103.1 as the justification for non-competitive acquisition due to Compunetix being the only authorized provider of service for their own systems. No request for quote will be issued, and this notice serves purely as an announcement of intent, not a competitive solicitation. Interested parties may still submit a capability statement by May 18, 2026, referencing solicitation number N68936-26-SIMACQ-DB0000M/EB0000M-0363, demonstrating their ability to perform the work without compromising quality, accuracy, reliability, or schedule, all directed to Yvonne Stockwell at the provided Navy email. All potential responders must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with an active status and certified through the Defense Logistics Information Services to access Controlled Unclassified Information related to the contract opportunity. New or updated SAM registrations require submission of a signed, notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator linked to the entity’s DUNS number, with a 30-day window following registration to comply. Failure to maintain an active SAM registration will disqualify an entity from potential award, and it is strongly advised that interested parties ensure compliance well in advance due to processing delays. Additional registration details are available through the SAM and DLIS websites, and all submissions must meet these procedural and security prerequisites to be considered.

Going forward, all new entities registering in GSA's System for Award Management (SAM), as well as existing registrations being updated or renewed, will require the submission of an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized Entity Administrator for the entity associated with the Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number. Effective June 11, 2018, entities who create or update their registration in SAM.gov to apply only for federal assistance opportunities such as grants, loans, and other financial assistance programs, have a notarized letter on file within 30 days of registration. Additionally, Effective June 29, 2018, all non-Federal entities who create or update their registration in SAM.gov, have a notarized letter on file within 30 days of registration. It is recommended that all interested parties be aware that processing this additional information may take several days and are proactive in maintaining the SAM registrations in an "Active" status as the government cannot award to an entity without an "Active" SAM registration.
