The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SON-66818-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Omar Paz. The Project is limited to the restoration of approximately 900 linear feet (0.41 acres) of riparian habitat, including the 450 linear feet (0.21 acres) of habitat which was impacted due to unauthorized vegetation removal. Riparian habitat will be restored by hand-planting native riparian trees and vegetation along both stream banks, to be monitored and maintained for at least five years. No heavy equipment will be used within the riparian habitat for this work. All work will occur outside of the flowing water. Access and staging will occur in an existing developed yard, with access and plantings along the banks done exclusively by hand and on foot. The project will not result in any temporary or permanent impacts to riparian habitat other than the restoration activities. No trees will be removed as part of this project.
