The Corporation of the Town of Cochrane has issued Request for Quotation PW 26-04 for the rental, delivery, and setup of a mobile impact crusher to process approximately 4,300 tonnes of stockpiled removed asphalt at the Empire Avenue snow dump. The project is expected to last approximately one week. Bidders must provide pricing for two distinct options: one including a qualified operator and another without labor, which would require the provider to deliver on-site orientation and operational training to Town staff. The successful bidder is responsible for ensuring the equipment is fully operational and complies with all federal, provincial, and municipal safety requirements, including functional emergency stops and guards, prior to the start of crushing. The evaluation process consists of a three-stage review focusing on mandatory requirements, rated criteria, and reference verification to determine the best value. Mandatory submission documents include a WSIB Clearance Certificate, a Certificate of Insurance, and detailed crusher specifications. New or renamed vendors must additionally provide a void cheque, a completed Vendor EFT Authorization Form, and a Certificate of Status from the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery. Quotations are irrevocable for 90 days following the September 29, 2026, deadline. Payments will be processed via Electronic Funds Transfer, and the contract will be issued as a purchase order agreement.
