Culvert Replacement Thornton Ave at Laity Street

The City of Maple Ridge is soliciting tenders for solicitation number 26-068 to perform the replacement and upgrade of three culverts and related civil construction work along Laity Street. The primary scope involves replacing a corrugated metal pipe arch culvert on Thornton Avenue with a 1200 mm diameter concrete pipe using an open-cut trench, which requires redirecting an existing 525 mm concrete storm sewer. Bidders must submit their proposals electronically by September 25, 2026, including a 10 percent electronically verifiable bid bond. The successful contractor will be required to provide performance and labor and material payment bonds, each at 50 percent of the tender price plus 5 percent GST. Evaluation is based on price, comparable work experience, the experience of the superintendent, and a preliminary construction schedule. The City reserves the right to accept the tender most favorable to its interests, regardless of whether it is the lowest bid.
