Cybersecurity Compliance and CUI Safeguarding

The contract requires the implementation and ongoing maintenance of NIST Special Publication 800-171 security controls to safeguard covered defense information and ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. This includes establishing technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect controlled unclassified information across all systems and environments under the contract’s scope. Continuous monitoring and adjustment of controls are necessary to address evolving threats and maintain alignment with NIST benchmarks, ensuring that all aspects of information handling meet the required security posture. The scope further encompasses conducting Supplier Performance Risk System assessments to evaluate and report on cybersecurity performance, as well as managing end-to-end cyber incident reporting procedures in accordance with DoD requirements. This involves timely detection, documentation, and escalation of any security breaches or anomalies affecting covered defense information, ensuring adherence to mandatory reporting timelines and protocols. All activities must support the Defense Logistics Agency’s mission to protect sensitive data throughout the supply chain, with performance tied to compliance, accuracy, and responsiveness in incident management and risk assessment.
