Cybersecurity Compliance and NIST SP 800-171 Implementation

The contract requires full implementation and ongoing maintenance of NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity compliance across all systems handling controlled unclassified information. This includes conducting regular system assessments, developing and updating comprehensive documentation, establishing a robust incident response plan, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting through the Supplier Performance Risk System. Compliance is not optional and must be continuously validated to meet federal standards. All subcontractors engaged in any capacity under this agreement are bound by a mandatory flow-down requirement, meaning they must also achieve and sustain NIST SP 800-171 compliance, and their adherence is the prime contractor’s responsibility. The work supports the Department of Defense through the Defense Logistics Agency under a subcontract with no specified set-aside, and performance is expected to align with the cybersecurity framework mandated for all defense contractors handling sensitive data.
