The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from qualified contractors capable of providing comprehensive maintenance and support for the VistA and VistA Imaging Systems, specifically covering engineering, sustainment, and logistical needs across approximately 143 facilities, including VA Medical Centers and data centers nationwide. The support scope involves managing Alpha/Itanium processors, OpenVMS operating systems, and associated hardware and software to ensure continuous operation without compromising warranties or system integrity. Contractors are expected to deliver engineering services, execute repairs and updates, and provide program management to meet stringent performance and delivery standards. Emphasis is placed on break/fix support with rapid component replacement within four hours, operation of an FDA-approved Imaging Qualification Lab, and implementation of Recoverall solutions. Respondents must detail their experience supporting HP's proprietary VMS on Alpha hardware, including managing large-scale mission-critical systems with high availability requirements, and operating dedicated 24/7 support centers. The solicitation requests demonstration of troubleshooting capabilities for complex issues within VMS/Alpha clusters, such as intermittent performance degradation. Additionally, contractors should provide feedback on the provided draft Performance Work Statement and offer rough order of magnitude estimates for the effort. Responses should include a Capabilities Statement, noting any veteran-owned or service-disabled veteran-owned business status, aligned with NAICS code 811212, and be submitted by the specified deadline.
