Full Description

Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency (USACA), Southern Region, Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) Yuma, AZ 85365-9498, intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract for one (1) year and one (1) 12 month option period for standard hardwar e-software maintenance for the existing Spectel 700 Conference Bridge System on a sole source basis with Avaya, Incorporated, located at 211 Mount Airy Road, Basking Ridge, New Jersey 07920. Avaya Incorporated currently holds proprietary rights to the Spe ctel 700 Conference Bridge System. The contractor shall provide hardware/software maintenance for the Spectel 700 Conference Bridge System for one (1) year (52 weeks) of coverage (12 hours per day; 5 days per week) to include telephone and email technical support, remote dial-in diagnostics, and remote configuration changes. The hardware-software maintenance will also provide new software upgrades including bug fixes and product enhancement releases. This will provide compatibility in fit, form and funct ion with the existing system. This requirement will be pursuant to FAR Part 6.3 Other than Full and Open Competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541511 with a size standard of $23 million dollars. This Notice of In tent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses o ther than the above source may identify their interest and capabilities to perform the requirement by submitting a proposal via email or facsimile with complete mailing address, point of contact, phone number, facsimile number and business size. Please fo rward your information not later then 5:00 PM MST on 19 February 2008 to the address contained in this notice. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct th eir own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement.
