This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is solicited using simplified acquisition procedures authorized under the Test Program for Commercial Items (Subpart 13.500). The U.S. Census Bureau has a requirement for Microsoft Premier Support Services for a one-year period beginning July 2007. Support is required for all Microsoft products owned by the U.S. Census Bureau during the period of award. The Contracting Officer has justified the requirement as being "specific make-and-model" in accordance with Subpart 11.105. The requirement covers up to 300 hours of Technical Account Manager's (TAM) support, up to 30 Support Incidents, one TAM on-site visit, five subscriptions to Microsoft TechNet Plus (single server), and eight Visual Studio 2005 Edition with MSDN Premium subscription.
