The Department of Homeland Security's Procurement Directorate Contracting Division issued a notice of intent to sole source maintenance and support services for NetIQ Corporation’s Chariot, AppManager, and AppScanner products, including the selection of AppManager Monitoring Products. The decision to sole source is based on the necessity for these new services to integrate seamlessly with existing proprietary NetIQ testing tools already owned by the agency. This procurement involves supplies and services for which the government plans to negotiate exclusively with NetIQ, although it invites interested parties to express their interest and capability by the specified deadline. Responses to this notice will assist the government in determining whether to proceed with a competitive procurement, but it is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. The government maintains full discretion on whether to move forward with competition based on the information received. Interested contractors must respond by September 22, 2003, at 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, with responses acceptable via fax or email.
