D -- Sole Source Notice: Excel Solutions Inc.

It is the Government intent to award a sole source purchase order to Ex-Cel Solutions Inc. for the maintenance of AIX UNIX operating system for processing of National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS) used by HQ AFOSI. The contractor shall provide the supplies and support services required to access and dispatch law enforcement messages over a controlled access, self-authenticating network for the Headquarters Air Force Office of Special Investigation (HQ AFOSI), Andrews AFB, MD. Access to the following information is also required: 1) Criminal History Checks 2) Vehicle Registration Information 3) Air Force Member Check 4) National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Check This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12. The period of performance will be for 01Oct 03-30 Sep 04. All contractors submitting any proposal to the Government must have a Commercial and Government Entity Code (CAGE Code) and be registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) at www.ccr2000.com. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract, it does not restrict the Government's ultimate approach, nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation cost.
