The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office in Murfreesboro, Tennessee plans to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract with a base year and four option years to Orthoview, LLC. This contract covers software and remote support services for the OrthoView Orthopaedic Digital Planning Software and template updates used in the Engineering Department at the Lexington VA Medical Center. The software and its templates are proprietary to OrthoView, incorporating not only manufacturer-supplied templates but also unique data integrated by the company to enable compatibility with the OrthoView application. Due to the specialized nature of the software, which plays a critical role in surgical procedure planning and interfacing with VISTA Imaging systems, the procurement will be conducted under regulations allowing sole source selection. The acquisition follows FAR provisions permitting non-competitive contracts when only one source is capable of providing the required service. The contract is categorized under the NAICS code 541511 with a size standard of $25.5 million. While this notice is not a request for competitive quotes, interested parties are invited to express their interest and submit quotations by the specified deadline, though the government retains full discretion on whether to proceed with competition based on responses received. The agreement ensures ongoing support and updating of essential software vital to VA healthcare operations.
