The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to award a sole source purchase order to Actuate Corporation, located in South San Francisco, California, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This sole source procurement arises because Actuate Corporation is currently the only known warranted service provider for the Actuate Hazdat Software, making competitive solicitation unnecessary. Although this is not a request for competitive proposals and no formal solicitation is available, other firms who believe they can provide the required services are invited to submit written notifications to the Contracting Officer within 10 days of the notice’s publication date. The Government will use any responses solely to determine whether a competitive procurement should be conducted, with the final decision resting entirely with the Government. The contract is identified by the solicitation number PA04102 and pertains to services under NAICS code 518210. The points of contact for this procurement are Contract Specialists Phil D Alexander and Russell T Oxford, who can be reached via email or phone for any inquiries. The procurement details emphasize the unique status of Actuate Corporation in providing Hazdat software services, underscoring the justified use of a sole source award by the CDC.
