NASA is undertaking an Agency-wide initiative to improve the efficiency of its account management processes by implementing a new system designed to incorporate best practice business processes. The primary goals include providing timely and reliable information to support management decisions, enhancing accountability and consistency, operating within tighter budget and staffing constraints, and improving information management, accuracy, and security. To kickstart this effort, NASA plans to acquire and implement account management software that will serve as the foundation for the NASA Account Management System (NAMS). The long-term approach focuses on acquiring best-value products for account management and best-of-breed solutions for related business functions to support core agency operations, including programs, projects, and research. The initiative is centered on exploring Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software options, along with potential customization, configuration, and training services. NASA issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather market intelligence on the current state of relevant products and services that could meet its needs. This information will assist NASA in preparing for an eventual agency-wide deployment of an integrated account management solution accessible across its various centers and operations worldwide. Responses to the RFI are required to address specific items listed in the accompanying enclosure, with submissions due both in physical and electronic formats to designated NASA personnel. Questions about the RFI can be directed to specified contacts for further clarification.
