Full Description

The U.S. Army War College located at Carlisle Barracks, PA intends to issue a solicitation for a Video-on-Demand system for Collins Hall; a state-of-the-art center with leading-edge Visual Information Technology and services. CSL has an on-going requirement to provide video to support a variety of conferences and exercises. The Video-on-Demand will provide an added benefit for the Strategic Decision Making Exercise by allowing the user to find an excerpt out of news cast so that they may focus on that issue. The Video-on-Demand system will allow inline tagging of a newscast decreasing the amount of man hours that an individual would have to sit and do manual tagging. The recorder would only need to add more detailed if required to minimize material for the search engine. The impact would decrease the amount of time that users spend surfing through unrelated material to acquire what they need. The Video-on-Demand System also allows word documents and presentations to be stored with recorded briefings and broadcasts. This requirement is unrestricted and Subject to Availability of Funds, (SAF). Solicitation will be issued on 18 September 2008 with a due date of 26 September 2008. The due date listed herein for receipt of proposals is approximate and subject to change based on actual issuance date.Telephone request will not be honored. Email request must include contractor name and street mailing address. Email request can be sent to: contact@example.gov. Request can be faxed to +1 (555) 000-0000. Contractors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). You can register by calling +1 (555) 000-0000 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov
