The Export-Import Bank of the United States plans to renew its subscription with Bureau Van Dijk for access to specialized financial and economic databases under a sole source acquisition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. The contract covers the continuation of services for one year, from October 1, 2002, to September 30, 2003, and includes access to Bankscope, a comprehensive financial spreadsheet database providing detailed data on 11,500 banks globally, allowing three concurrent users via IP, with updates for new financial statements upon request. It also includes access to the EIU Country Data, which offers statistical economic indicators across 195 countries, delivered in spreadsheet form, providing both historical and forecast data, accessible to one user via IP. This procurement is conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is contingent on the availability of fiscal year 2002 funding. The opportunity is not a request for proposals but a sole source solicitation, inviting written responses within fifteen calendar days from interested parties capable of meeting the requirements with comparable services, although none have been identified to date. Responses must be submitted in writing, accompanied by sufficient descriptive literature, and telephone inquiries are not accepted. In the event multiple qualified sources respond, the evaluation will focus on technical expertise and relevant experience, with the government reserving the right to conduct a down-select process and hold discussions only with the most qualified offerors. The contract falls under NAICS code 51421, and the point of contact for this acquisition is [email hidden]. The award will favor Bureau Van Dijk unless a suitable alternative provider is identified.
