70 -- Notice of Intent to Sole Source

Notice of Intent to award a sole source procurement with SafeNet, Inc. for the following: Primary Database Server-Pentium workstation running safenet/security center application software, windows NT server operation system & SQL Server Database software, Seconday Database Server-Pentium workstation running safenet/security center application software, Windows NT Server operation and SQL Server Database Software. Provides hot backup & automatic failover capabilities. Safenet Security Center Worksation running the SafeNet/Security Center application software, Windows NT Server Operating System & SQL Server Database Software, Mid-range dedicated VPN gateway encryptor with 10M throughout. The reason for the sole source is the only known provider of this type of software and equipment. This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may idendtify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all prpoposals received by the closing date and close of business, 5:00pm Central Standard Time, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Governmentt not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informaiton received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
