The U.S. Census Bureau plans to award a sole source contract to Galdos Systems, Inc. for software enhancement services and licenses related to the WebTIGER system, including its Web Feature Server (WFS) and Web Map Server (WMS) components. The enhancements aim to address missing functionalities and enable the handling of large nationwide data sets across all Census geographic feature types. The contract is pursued under Federal Acquisition Regulation provisions allowing non-competitive awards, with Galdos Systems identified as the sole provider capable of meeting these specific technical needs. While this notice does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposals, interested parties who believe they can offer a more advantageous and competitive solution are invited to submit detailed technical and pricing information to the Census Bureau within 15 days. Responses will be considered to evaluate the availability of alternate sources before finalizing the contract. The contract specialist overseeing this acquisition is Philip M. Hodges, located at the Census Bureau’s Suitland, Maryland office. If no responsive submissions are received in the stated timeframe, the contract may be awarded directly to Galdos Systems without further notice.
