AI Contract Overview
The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Office of Information and Technology, is seeking information from vendors capable of providing Local Exchange Carrier services for voice and data communications at the Honolulu VA Medical Centers. The requirements include Metro Ethernet at 10Mbps and other telecom services as detailed in Section 5.2, with the contractor required to own and maintain the infrastructure, ensure the VA remains the customer of record, and deliver 24/7 service with maximum availability. This effort aims to centralize telecommunications management and reduce costs, under NAICS code 517111 for Wired Telecommunication Carriers. The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this request and is using it solely for market research to inform future acquisition decisions. This is a Request for Information, not a solicitation, and responses will not form any binding obligation on the Government or entitle respondents to compensation. Interested parties must submit a five-page Vendor Capabilities Statement including company name, point of contact, and NAICS size standard, along with a completed Market Research Workbook that explicitly answers yes or no for every required service at every Service Delivery Point—no entries may be left blank. Responses must be submitted by 1:00 PM CST on July 22, 2026, via email to the designated Contract Specialist, and respondents are responsible for marking any proprietary or sensitive information. The place of performance includes Saipan, but the services are targeted at Honolulu, and the solicitation is managed from Austin, Texas.
