Full Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) has a requirement for the
procurement of components to upgrade the current Distributed Antenna System (DAS) to Airspan’s MobileAccess 6200 platform.
MMAC’s DAS is a complex system that consists of the following major components:
• Signal Source: Provided by the carriers via internet connection at no cost to the Government.
• Head-End Unit (HEU): The central hub that receives, processes, and manages signals from the source, distributing them to
remote radio units.
• Remote Units / Radio Units: Installed throughout the building, these receive signals from the head-end unit, amplify them,
and distribute them to localized antennas.
• Fiber Optic Cables: Used in long-distance, high-capacity signal transport.
• Antennas: Distribute the amplified RF signals.
• Bi-Directional Amplifiers (BDAs / Repeaters): Boosts signals to ensure adequate coverage strength.

All Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management, www.SAM.gov. Per the FAA Acquisition
Management System (AMS), clause 3.3.1-33 System for Award Management (SAM), paragraph (b)(1) “By submission
of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM
database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic
ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation.”
