DoS Dermatology Specific Virtual Reference

The Bureau of Medical Services within the Department of State is seeking information on a dermatology-specific virtual reference solution to support embassy clinicians serving diverse global populations. The solution must feature a differential diagnosis builder enhanced with comprehensive clinical image libraries covering all ages and skin tones, as well as region-specific infectious disease profiles to reflect the unique health challenges faced by U.S. personnel abroad. It must deliver on-demand web-based dermatology training and continuing medical education credits with single sign-on access, alongside clinical decision support tools that include drug interaction and contraindication checks. Administrative tracking capabilities are required to monitor individual user access and identify trends in reference usage for targeted training, while robust security measures—including two-factor authentication, user role management aligned with Department IT policies, and end-to-end data encryption in transit and at rest—are mandatory.
