The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) intends to secure an exemption from competitive bidding to purchase annual Jaltest licensing and software maintenance, following a previous procurement process, ITB20200364, that selected Fleetpride for vehicle and equipment diagnostic solutions. This contract aims to maintain uninterrupted access to essential software and maintenance services required for the department's existing diagnostic hardware. The contract specifies the procurement of necessary software maintenance and licensing from Fleetpride Corporation, ensuring provision of ongoing support, upgrades, and licenses critical for operating ITD's diagnostic systems. Financially, the anticipated expenses are $29,880 annually, culminating in a total of $149,400 over a span of five years. The contract outlines a single instance of purchase accompanied by continuous service delivery throughout a five-year timeframe, with all activities executed within Idaho state boundaries. To promote transparency, suppliers are encouraged to review the request for exemption and provide insights to the Department of Purchasing (DOP) Administrator. This allows stakeholders to share relevant information to either uphold or challenge the premise that competitive procurement would prove impractical or unfavorable under the current circumstances. Suppliers can submit evidence through attachments or direct email submissions to aid the evaluation process, contributing to an informed decision by the DOP Administrator prior to the specified closing deadline.
