The Idaho Department of Corrections seeks an exemption from competitive bidding to procure Database Maintenance for Cloud Navigator. This exemption would enable the department to obtain these services with minimal or no competitive process, pending approval from the DOP Administrator, who has full discretion over the decision. To promote transparency, the DOP invites suppliers to review the exemption request and provide relevant feedback or information that might influence the Administrator’s decision. Suppliers are encouraged to evaluate whether establishing competition would be impractical or disadvantageous under the current conditions and submit their remarks via the provided channels before the specified deadline. The contract opportunity, labeled under the solicitation type "EFC - Cloud Navigator Software Support and Maintenance," has an estimated value between $50,000 and $200,000 and is classified under NAICS code 541511 and PSC code 7B20. The procurement process, marked by its guidance and oversight from the DOP Administrator, promises to remain an open door for applicable contributions from vendors, emphasizing the voluntary nature of supplier involvement and the non-appealable nature of the final decision. All relevant documentation and further instructions are accessible through the State of Idaho’s IPRO platform and associated URLs. The Idaho Department of Corrections has requested an exemption from competition for the purchase of Database Maintenance for Cloud Navigator. Exemption from competition is at the discretion of the DOP Administrator. In the interest of transparency, DOP is offering suppliers the opportunity to review this requested exemption and provide relevant information. The decision remains discretionary, and suppliers have no right to appeal the Administrator’s decision. Suppliers are invited to provide information that may help the DOP Administrator make a decision regarding this requested exemption from competition. Please review the Agency’s request, attached in the Buyer Attachment section of IPRO. You are invited to provide information that may help support or contradict the claim that competition would be impractical, unreasonable, or disadvantageous to the State under the circumstances. Submit your information by attaching it in the Supplier Attachments section of IPRO and submitting your response or emailing contact@example.gov.
