16' CUSTOM ELECTROFISHING BOAT SETUP The US Fish & Wildlife Service intends to award a sole source contract to Midwest Lake Management, Inc., based on FAR 6.302.1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to provide a 16 foot electrofishing boat, trailer, MLES Infinity Control Box and MLES Integrated Plug and Go System. The MLES Infinity control box allows for more accurate output and adjustments to the volts, amps and wattage being placed in the water to shock fish. Accurate output reduces unnecessary injury or harm to fish, and increases efficiency and effectiveness in sampling, along with increased crew safety while operating the boat. The vendor is the only manufacturer of the MLES Infinity Control Box. In order to remain consistent with past and future fishery data collection and to allow for accurate data comparisons, the MLES Infinity Control Box is required. The exact specifications for the items are required in order to be interchangeable with the electrofishing boats currently in service. This boat and required equipment is required in order to monitor and restore fish populations, meet contractual obligations, and to ensure crew member safety.
