The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) Brooklyn, anticipates the issuance of a solicitation for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project titled Elevator Modernization - Dayton Manor (Staff Housing) for MDC Brooklyn located at 9325 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY, 11209. Please note - the awardee will not be entering or granted access to the federal prison.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a project titled Elevator Modernization - Dayton Manor (Staff Housing) for MDC Brooklyn located at 9325 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY, 11209, and is prepared in accordance with the format in subpart FAR Revision Subpart 12.2, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes as the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is issued (see attached). You are required to provide all pages of the written attached solicitation with your complete quotation.

SCOPE OF WORK:
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals required to modernize four (4) passenger elevators and two (2) freight elevators located at 9325 Fort Hamilton Parkway, Brooklyn, NY. While this is Government property, it is staff housing and is not inside the federal prison. The intent is to perform a complete elevator modernization, replacing obsolete equipment with new systems that enhance safety, reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with NYC Building Code, ASME Al 7.1, and NYC Appendix K requirements. See the attached Statement of Work for further detailed requirements.
The estimated magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors). with a corresponding small business size standard of $22.0 million average annual receipts for the firms preceding three fiscal years.
