Full Description

The Medical Identification and Treatment Systems Joint Product Management Office in support of the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical/Biological Defense intends to procure on a sole source basis, engineering and manufacturing support efforts as part of the planned up-grading of production of Skin Exposure Reduction Paste Against Chemical Warfare Agents (SERPACWA). The intended contractor is McKesson BioServices Corporation, 14665 Rothgeb Drive, Rockville, MD 20850. McKesson BioServices Corp oration is the only manufacturer approved by the Food and Drug Administration for the production of SERPACWA. This effort will involve analysis of packaging conditions and implementation of engineering improvements to the packaging line to improve the int egrity and durability of the product to meet Department of Defense requirements. This contract shall be issued using other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for proposals but parties purportin g to have the requisite credentials to perform these services must furnish in writing, factual information, which clearly supports and demonstrates evidence of such abilities. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on any responses from this notice is solely with the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
