AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing engineering and logistical support for the HH-60W helicopter platform, with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation identified as the only anticipated sole source due to its exclusive access to proprietary data, technical expertise, and original equipment manufacturer knowledge required to maintain operational, safety, suitability, and effectiveness standards. The support includes access to structural and component data, drawings, qualification records, and analysis methods necessary for sustaining the HH-60W fleet, and contractors must supply all materials, tools, test equipment, and services while ensuring replacements meet or exceed original quality standards, including maintaining and calibrating equipment at their own or subcontractor facilities. No set-aside classifications apply, and the North American Industry Classification System code for this effort is 541330. This request for information is strictly for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation for proposals or an obligation for the government to award a contract; responses will not be treated as formal proposals nor compensated beyond potential inclusion as allowable costs under future contracts. Participation does not guarantee future contract opportunities, and respondents are not entitled to reimbursement for any expenses incurred. All correspondence must be directed to the designated primary and secondary points of contact, and submissions are due by August 20, 2026. The effort falls under the Department of Defense, managed by the Office at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia, with the solicitation number FA8552-26-R-HH60W, and no security or foreign participation requirements have been finalized.

Full Description
This market survey is being conducted to identify potential sources that may be able to provide engineering and logistical support for the United States Air Force (USAF) HH-60W helicopter platform hereby referred to as HH-60. This support will provide the USAF HH-60 Helicopter Program Office (HPO) technical expertise, access to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) proprietary data including but not limited to structural/component data, drawings, qualification data, and analysis techniques as required to adequately maintain operational, safety, suitability, and effectiveness (OSS&E) for the HH-60 platform. Sole source to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (SAC) is anticipated due to the lack of proprietary data and engineering expertise needed to perform this support effort. SAC is the only known sole qualified source for this requirement. The level of security clearance and amount of foreign participation in this requirement has not been determined.
The Contractor will be required to furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. The Contractor will be responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor’s facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts.
Contractors/Institutions responding to this market research are placed on notice that participation in this survey does not ensure participation in future solicitations or contract awards. The Government will not reimburse participants for any expenses associated with their participation in this survey.
