Fencing Repair Services

The County of Orange Sheriff-Coroner is seeking a contractor for as-needed fencing repair, maintenance, adjustment, replacement, and installation services across various facilities, including jails and remote communication sites. The scope covers a wide array of fencing types, such as chain link, barbed wire, razor wire, security mesh, and gates. The contract is awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and spans an initial term of three calendar years, with a mutual option to renew for an additional two years. Performance includes routine maintenance during normal operational hours and critical emergency services available 24/7/365, requiring a one-hour response time and a two-hour on-site arrival. Due to the sensitive nature of the facilities, all contractor personnel must pass comprehensive background checks and obtain security clearances, which must be renewed every twelve months. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, tools, and commercial-grade materials that meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer specifications. Payment is issued in arrears on a net-30 day basis via electronic funds transfer, contingent upon the written acceptance of work by the County Project Manager and the return of any issued security badges. Bidders must provide firm pricing for labor rates across regular, after-hours, and weekend/holiday shifts, with materials charged at invoice cost plus a markup.
