The estimated value for this extension period is $5,925,390. The contract is awarded to Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) on a sole-source basis. This decision is based on CPFD's unique logistical infrastructure and established cold chain network in South Korea, which are deemed mission-critical for maintaining supply continuity during the transition to a future competitive procurement. All products must adhere to OECD International Standards for Fruit and Vegetables, specifically Class 1 for imported goods and Class 2 for locally grown products. The award is structured as a Firm Fixed Price agreement, prioritizing operational stability and technical capability over competitive bidding.
