Notice Type: Special Notice Notice of Proposed Contract Action This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The award is to be a Firm-Fixed Price contract pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B), Contracting officers may limit the source for orders against a FSS with an estimated value exceeding the micro-purchase threshold if only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the quantity required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The contracting officer has determined that only one source is reasonably available, BioFire Diagnostics, LLC, a Large Business, located at 515 Colorow Dr. Salt Lake City, UT 84108-1248, and is the only known source capable of meeting the requirement. The Department of the Air Force has a requirement for BioFire FilmArray Gastrointestinal Panel Kits and associated supplies as follows: - Qty 30: RFIT-ASY-0116 FilmArray Gastrointestinal Panel compatible with: - Ten (10) FilmArray 2.0 (catalog # FLM2-ASY-0001) Instruments - All reagent kits must be FDA approved and will exhibit at least 95% sensitivity and 95% specificity - Panel Specifications: - Sample type - Stool in Cary-Blair - Sample Volume -200ul - Targets 22 pathogens at once - Delivery: 10 days After Date of Contract - Location: WPAFB, OH The NAICS code for this requirement is 334519 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1000 employees. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. A Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) will not be available for this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
