The contract requires the Contractor to inspect and test combination fire and smoke dampers primarily focusing on their mechanical operation, if present, and to test the electrical components in line with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 105 standards. These electrical tests must be integrated into the annual fire alarm testing schedule, although the Contractor is not responsible for coordinating with the separate company handling the fire alarm testing. Additionally, the Contractor is tasked with locating existing fire separations to verify that all necessary fire and smoke dampers and combination systems are installed as required. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will assist by providing a list of known existing fire dampers to support this verification process. This solicitation, titled "Fire Damper Inspection," is issued by the Correctional Service of Canada, a federal agency, and is based in Saskatoon. It was posted on January 19, 2026, with responses due by February 9, 2026. Prospective contractors can direct inquiries to the designated Contracting Authority, Katherine Booth.
