The information received will be used within Department of Public Works, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, to facilitate the decision-making process and will not be disclosed outside of the organization. This announcement is not a request for proposals, but a survey of the market for potential sources. Department of Public Works, Fort Leavenworth, KS is seeking current relevant experience, personnel, and capability to work that includes but is not limited to General construction: The goal for this project is to replace doors and frames. Remove and replace twenty-one (21) exterior door assemblies on the main level, including associated frames, hardware, access control components, and adjacent infill systems. All work shall comply with WBDG 08 11 16, manufacturer requirements, and UFC life-safety provisions.


New exterior doors shall be commercial-grade aluminum stile-and-rail doors, fabricated from 6063-T6 architectural aluminum extrusions.  Frames shall be aluminum, factory-fabricated, and fully compatible with the door system. Doors and frames shall be factory-finished/applied baked-on powder coating; field touch-up only. Finishes shall color match to existing conditions. 


The work to be done consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as well as performing all work in strict accordance with the drawings and specifications at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.


This acquisition will require a general contractor with experience and expertise capable of managing numerous task orders at the same time, which will require construction scheduling, cost estimating, quality control, and coordination of subcontractors in a wide variety of construction trades.


The contract to be awarded under this contract will be for construction in Fort Leavenworth, within the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) with a corresponding Size Standard of $45 million.
