The government is currently evaluating various acquisition strategies, including Other Transaction Authority and FAR-based contracts, with a formal solicitation expected in Q2 or Q3 of FY27 and a tentative award in Q4FY27. Future plans include a FAR-based production contract for three to four operational fleet systems and sustainment services estimated for FY2033. Interested parties must address statutory participation requirements for Nontraditional Defense Contractors or small businesses, or demonstrate the financial capacity for a mandatory one-third cost-share.
