The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, is conducting market research through a sources sought synopsis to identify potential vendors capable of leasing a system for the detection, identification, and tracking of small unmanned aerial systems operating on or near Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex. This initiative, identified under solicitation number F2X3B26120A001 and classified under NAICS code 334511, is strictly for information gathering and does not constitute a solicitation for bids or proposals; no contract will be awarded based on responses. Respondents are asked to provide general company details including CAGE code, Unique Entity ID, business size classification, and market capability evidence such as price estimates to inform future acquisition planning. The government emphasizes that no reimbursement will be provided for costs incurred in responding, proprietary information should be avoided, and all submissions become government property without return. The desired solution must be a one-year annual lease of a fully integrated, real-time sUAS detection and tracking data service that provides a graphical user interface offering a single pane common operating picture, recording key data such as UAS type, location, speed, altitude, operator ID, and UAS ID. The system must be brand new, not refurbished, and must fully integrate with the existing AeroDefense system at Maxwell AFB. Performance is expected at Building 929 on Maxwell AFB and Building 834 on Gunter Annex, with a proposed period of performance from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Contractors must comply with stringent base access protocols requiring advance notification 30 days prior to on-site performance, submission of personnel details, and adherence to Air Force security standards including DAFI 31-101 and DoDM5200.02. Unauthorized IT systems, including personal LANs, Wi-Fi, or cellular modems, are strictly prohibited. Warranty documentation, including written procedures, point-of-contact information, confirmation of warranty terms, and technical support protocols, must be provided prior to acceptance. Failure to return base identification credentials upon contract completion may result in withholding of final payment. Responses are due by June 26, 2026, with point of contact information provided through A1C Jonathan Cheslo and William M. Griffiths.
