The Mill Creek Campground in the Alpine Loop (over 400,000 visitors per year) is a popular campground offering fishing access trail for anglers and river access. This project will expand the Mill Creek Campground to increase access and provide additional camping opportunities for visitors with camping trailers and “toy haulers”. This developed campground expansion will provide site amenities, including; precast concrete pit toilet, picnic tables, fire rings, bear resistant food storage, kiosk, and most importantly flat parking adequate for large travel trailers. Not necessarily upgrading to become ADA compliant, but this expansion will increase accessibility by folks with disabilities.
