Full Description

The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Morningstar CAM Solutions, 303 NC Highway 740 Bypass E, Albemarle, NC 28001, (Cage Code: 1QTC3) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East, MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for GibbsCAM Software Maintenance and Support. Market research has determined that Morningstar CAM Solutions is the only source capable of providing the required service, as the software is proprietary to GibbsCAM. Morningstar CAM Solutions is the only company in this region authorized by GibbsCAM to provide the maintenance and technical support required. Therefore, the government intends to procure this maintenance and support on a sole source basis from Morningstar CAM Solutions. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received within five (5) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
