The Guadalupe River Bank Stabilization Project: Malone Road and Blossom Hill Road is intended to provide bank stabilization at two locations along the Guadalupe River upstream of Malone Road and Almaden Road and at Blossom Hill Road between Sanchez Drive and Blossom River Drive. Along these sections of the Guadalupe River, in-stream structures have significant erosion, and restoration of those embankments are needed to avoid risk of impacting neighboring properties. Project activities at the Guadalupe River and Malone Road Project site include tree removal, creating an active water bypass system throughout the length of the Project site, and installation of a concrete slope paving with compacted earth backfill utilizing concrete slope protection and footing with embedded rock riprap in the eroded cavity and along the concrete footing. Project activities at Guadalupe River and Blossom Hill Road Project site would include installation of an active dewatering system, debris removal, and replacing the failed gabion basket structure through the rock slope protection method. Construction activities are anticipated to occur between summer 2026 to fall 2026.
