The determination of a procurement strategy, based upon the comments submitted in response to this Sources Sought Announcement, is solely within the discretion of the Government. DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, material, parts necessary to provide testing, maintenance and repair/correction of fire alarms and suppression systems at the Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Livermore Divisions, including VA in Mountain View, all VA Residential and Transition Home units in Menlo Park inspection and testing only of fire protection systems at the facilities in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 101 Life Safety Code , NFPA-72 National Fire Alarm Code , NFPA- 99 Health Care Facilities , and NFPA-25, Standard for Inspection, Testing and Maintenance of Water-based Fire Protection Systems and The Joint Commission accreditation standards for hospitals. The total number of devices is approximately 12,000. The Contractor shall be required to provide a 24-hour/7 days per week emergency service coverage with a maximum on-site response time of 4 hours.
