Indoor Gunshot and Threat Detection System|Procurement|SoleSource

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of an Indoor Gunshot and Threat Detection System from AmberBox Inc as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods and the contractor being the single provider of the goods. The selected system must provide 3rd generation multi-sensor detection that combines percussion sensing, infrared (IR) detection, and machine-learning sound analysis; sub‑3.6 second automated notifications to campus security and law enforcement; automatic conference-call dispatch capabilities for real-time operational intelligence; certified access to the Frontline first-responder wireless network to ensure communications remain operational during public cellular outages; automated firearm classification with real-time shot tracking and mapping; and built-in detection of additional workplace violence indicators including glass break, aggressive voice events, explosions, and other unusual disturbances. The system must also support deployment without wired data backhaul and integrate with existing campus security system.
