HealthLit4Wake Mini Grant

Wake County Government is issuing the fifth round of HealthLit4Wake Mini Grant Awards to support community organizations in improving health literacy and access to reliable health information across Wake County, North Carolina, using federal funding from the CDC under Assistance Listing Number 93.967. The initiative aims to strengthen partnerships with local entities to deliver evidence-based interventions that enhance public understanding of health topics, encourage positive health behaviors, and reduce barriers to care through culturally appropriate messaging and community engagement. Recipients are prohibited from subcontracting funds and must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage: workers’ compensation with statutory limits and $500,000 employers' liability, commercial general liability with $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, commercial automobile liability of $1 million per accident, and professional liability insurance with identical limits. Claims-made coverage must include a retroactive date matching the agreement’s inception and a minimum three-year tail period. All materials produced with grant funds must acknowledge CDC support and include required disclaimers, while the use of CDC or HHS logos requires prior written approval.
