The Naval Medical Logistics Command plans to acquire two portable high-frequency radiographic systems (Model SR-130) for use in the Medical Departments on LSD-41 class ships, specifically USS RUSHMORE and USS COMSTOCK. This procurement is conducted as a sole source acquisition with Source-Ray, Inc., their only qualified provider. The contract follows FAR 13.106 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and incorporates provisions effective through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-24. The systems must meet stringent technical specifications including FDA market approval, compatibility with phosphorous computed radiography plates, 110/120 VAC operation without batteries, automatic line-voltage compensation, and specific x-ray tube and generator capabilities such as a 20,000 HU heat capacity, kVp and mAs adjustable ranges, and exposure timers. Notably, the Source-Ray system is uniquely collapsible for vertical storage, stable on moving decks, and designed for mobility with features like sliding legs to fit beneath beds and stretchers, all while weighing less than 100 pounds. This acquisition is classified under NAICS code 334517 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. No set-aside restrictions apply, and although it is a sole source procurement, interested parties may submit technical capability statements and cost data by a specified deadline for consideration. The government reserves the right to determine whether competition is warranted based on such submissions but currently identifies Source-Ray’s system as the only acceptable option. Submissions must be sent preferably via email to the designated contact without phone inquiries accepted, emphasizing the specialized nature and urgency of the procurement for essential medical equipment aboard naval vessels.

6525--SEP 2026 Equipment Only Consolidation
Solicitation # 36A79727Q0002
Solicitation 36A79727Q0002 is a HUBZone Small Business set-aside issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center for the September 2026 Equipment Only Consolidation. This procurement focuses on High Tech Medical Equipment (HTME), specifically targeting various imaging systems such as XR RAD, XR US, XR CT, and XR MRI for delivery to multiple VA VISN networks and stations. Competition is strictly limited to current contract holders with the VA National Acquisition Center or the Defense Logistics Agency, Troop Support. Offers are due by February 3, 2027, and must remain valid for 180 days. The government will award based on best value, where non-price factors—specifically the availability of required features and the availability of service—are considered significantly more important than price. Technical evaluations will assess how well equipment meets functional requirements and the vendor's ability to provide local and virtual technical support, repair parts, and documentation. Vendors must provide individual product pricing, as bottom-line prices will be rejected, and must treat upgrade requests as forklift upgrades with separate trade-in values. Submissions must be uploaded as a single ZIP file to Box, following strict naming conventions and folder structures, and must be accompanied by a timestamped email to the Contracting Officer. Required documentation includes a completed pre-procurement assessment questionnaire for network-connected devices. Additionally, the contract specifies that while applications training is awarded with equipment, off-site training is excluded from delivery orders and must be handled as separate modifications.
