The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH), Division of Strategic Planning and Response (SPR), requests the issuance of a competitive Request for Application (RFA) to award Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) cooperative agreement funds to a qualified nonprofit organization to administer and support Mississippi's Healthcare Coalition (HCC). The selected subrecipient will assist MSDH in implementing activities required under the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Hospital Preparedness Program Notice of Funding Opportunity (EP-U3R-24-001) and the approved HPP Budget Period 3 Work Plan. Responsibilities will include statewide healthcare coalition development and sustainment, healthcare preparedness planning, stakeholder engagement, training and exercises, medical surge coordination, information sharing, healthcare system readiness, performance reporting, and other activities necessary to strengthen healthcare system preparedness and resilience throughout Mississippi. Funding will be provided through the ASPR Hospital Preparedness Program Cooperative Agreement. The selected applicant must demonstrate experience coordinating healthcare preparedness initiatives, managing federally funded programs, and collaborating with hospitals, emergency medical services, emergency management, public health agencies, and other healthcare partners.
